First Farm Friday!

This past week we had our first farm friday with Ecohouse learning community.

Although it was rainy outside it was dry and warm inside the hoop house. We worked on harvesting the existing plants.

Here are a few of us harvesting some different varieties of kale

In addition to harvesting, we planted some new seeds.

We planted more crops of the leafy green variety and added some tatsoi and flashy green lettuce.

Everyone was happy to get down and dig in the dirt, a first time for most of us since early november.

Spring may not fully be here yet but we look forward to working in the hoop house for now and warmer week to come so we can get out in the field and really start doing some work!

We're excite to see you all this coming friday for more volunteering time here at the farm!
